Portsmouth

Mission

Back on track...

2 GoodGymers made their way to help an isolated older person in Portsmouth.

Ms J was feeling the chill as she was unable to close her curtains due to the pull cord mechanism giving up. Once we'd found her flat, we headed in to find she was watching a rerun of a GG favourite TV... The Great British Bake Off. Way to make us want cake!! We were a little concerned that this mission might be beyond our DIY skills especially when we saw that one part of the plastic mechanism had snapped. Fortunately the cord was still in one piece so after standing on the armchairs, rehooking some of the curtain and creating a join using a hook and the cord we got it all working again. Ms J thanked us and we were on our way again. A short but sweet mission and hopefully a warmer evening now she can shut the curtains.

2 good deeds in 1 day... Now that's a feel good Saturday!

Nice one, Katie and Angela! Very impressed that you managed to get this done as I did think it was a bit of a tricky one, good work! :)
