Another round of Santa-plause

’Twas the night before Christmas in the Robinson house Preparations for parkrun were as busy as Santa’s house Checking the roster & counting it twice Thanks to GoodGym it would be so nice

Christmas morning while John lay sleeping snug in his bed Belinda was out running to check on the course tread Then it was time to don our bright festive gear & welcome our parkrunners from near & furtheer

Then along came Barbara to don a hi viz & off to marshal the turnaround point did she whizz Soon Nick & Julia arrived on the scene Ready to take on volunteer roles umpteen

Whilst John was setting the parkrun course up to go 527 runners were starting to show All smiling faces full of Christmas cheer All ages & abilities with nothing to fear

Belinda sang the run briefing it wasn’t half hearted Then it was time to get the Christmas parkrun started So many thank yous to all the volunteers They certainly deserved all of the cheers

Then it was over, everyone was safely home & Beth was on hand going through the tokens she did comb Kit put away, results were all processed GoodGym’s valued help did not go unnoticed
