Here's what Miss A of E3 had to say about the mission:

Thanks to the runners who came, they did a lovely job!

Miss A of E3, mission beneficiary

This morning I met up with the awesome Hilary for a mission in Tower Hamlets for Ms A.

Not that I've been banging on about it or anything (although I totally have), but this mission marks my 100th GoodGym mission, slightly more than 12 full months after my first group run and slightly less than 11 full months after being DBS checked for missions. I'm happy enough (& extra enough) to make a t-shirt to commemorate the occasion. So I did (see photos) 😎👍 Hilary also commemorated the occasion by greeting me with an incredibly cool Certificate of Eptitude (see photo). I'm definitely going to hang it up when I get home! 😊😊😊

Ms A is visually impaired and worries about the state of her garden, particularly when it comes to moving about in it. She asked GoodGym if a couple of runners could pop over and tidy it up to make it a bit safer. Hilary and I were more than happy enough to do this 😄

Hilary and I were pleasantly surprised to find that Ms A's garden wasn't too badly out of shape. Ms A indicated that she'd had help from some GoodGymmers last year, so maybe whatever they had done had made life easier for us!

We did some pretty standard gardening in both the front and back garden: In the front, Hilary concentrated on trimming back the tree growing around the doorway, while I concentrated on emuscation and weeding. In the back, it was weeding all the way, but of Herb Robert, which is ridiculously easy to remove and is Hilary's "favourite type of weed". I don't think I have a favourite, but "easy to remove" seems like a pretty good criterion! We kept up a decent flow of conversation as we worked, which led us to discover that we'd grown up only a few miles away from each other! We Welsh get everywhere! 😄

Finishing up, we swept the green waste into a garden bag for collection, and made our goodbyes to Ms A (after confirming that her shoe choice for a christening she's attending later is on point 👌)

Thank you again, Hilary, for my certificate! Hope you enjoy Wembley later and hopefully see you at the Vitality 10k on Monday! 😄
