Friends of Meath Gardens
The Friends of Meath Gardens is a community organisation that is fighting to save, maintain and improve our green spaces. Meath Gardens, formerly Victoria Park Cemetery, is a large green area nestled next to Mile End Park. You can reach it over the footbridge near the Palm Tree and the Mile End Climbing Wall, or from Smart Street.

The brilliant Friends of Meath Gardens are hosting a large tree-planting activity, and would love GoodGymers to join!

  • Trees and shrubs need to be planted around the allotment area in pretty Meath Gardens.

  • The well-established Friends of Meath Gardens team are looking for as many volunteers as possible to join this event next Saturday.

Everything you need to know on the day

  • The event runs from 10:30am - 4pm on Sunday 3rd March.

  • Meeting point is by the Meath Gardens Tool shed (next to the basket ball court).

  • You can join for as little or as much as you like. (The team have said, "If you can’t make 10.30am, come by at anytime - even just to say hello :) )

  • All tools will be provided.

  • The Friends of Meath Gardens team are very experienced at running sessions, and will offer you a warm welcome and show you the ropes! (Visit the Friends of Meath Gardens Facebook page here)
