The occupational on the rehab ward at Springfield hospital want to create a therapy garden so that patients can acquire gardening skills, experience the therapeutic benefits of gardening, cultivate food and herbs for the cooking group, and enjoy a more uplifting garden environment.

However they have a problem with depleted/ nutrient poor soil in the courtyard' beds and the staff don't have the time or resources our staff lacks the time to replace/ rejuvenate the soil. They asked GoodGym to come and help turn over the soil and add in some compost.

There is a bell when you get to the ward, when you arrive call that bell and it will go through to the nursing office. Ask a member of staff to let you into the courtyard round the back. Any problems getting in just drop me a message on ana@goodgym.org
