Stepney City FarmStepney City Farm have invited GoodGymers to join their monthly litter-picks.
Writes Stepney City Farm, "Stepney City Farm has teamed up with CleanUp UK, Tower Hamlets Council, and the Wapping & Shadwell (WaSh) Wombles to launch a new regular litter picking group. We’re providing the support and equipment for the community to tackle this issue together.
Events are now taking place regularly on the first Saturday of the month, led by experienced Wombles Andrea and Shafique. We have been overjoyed by the response, with over 30 people turning out each time to lend a hand!"
(You can read more about the litter-pick on the Farm's blog post).
What you need to know
Meet at 11am at Stepney City Farm. Meet at the green and white-striped gazebo.
Andrea and Shafique will be running the session from 11am-1pm.
You'll be given a short briefing on health and safety shortly after 11am. All equipment is provided.
(If you can’t make it at 11am, that’s not a problem – Andrea and Shafique will be at the Farm, by the gazebo).
This task is led by Stepney City Farm and the WaSh Wombles, but do get in touch with Area Activator Laura (laura@goodgym.org) with any queries.
