We do normal courses, we do trail courses, now I think we should try the assault courses.

Spartan has offered us free race passes in exchange for volunteering for 1 shift at their event.

This is a weekend event for the "Super" which is on saturday and the "Sprint" which is on Sunday.

Goodgym are allowed to camp for free on their camping site if you wish to race the next day. The other option to volunteers is to do the early shift and then race in the afternoon straight after your shift.

The Free Race Pass

The pass can be used on the same day, next day or other future dates. They can only be used on the open heat races which are as follows:

  • The Spartan Sprint is 5km+ loaded with 20+ obstacles. A great starter distance for beginners.

  • The Spartan Super is a course spanning over 13km+ with 25+ obstacles that litter the distance.

  • The Spartan Beast is just plain hard. This is their longest and most difficult race out of the three main race types and is aptly named for its brutal 20km+ circuit with more than 30 obstacles that try to keep you from your finish line.

Runners will receive a medal, t-shirt and beer.

Volunteer information

There are 2 shifts that you can choose from:

Sprint or Super Shift 1: 06:00 to 14:00

Sprint or Super Shift 2: 12:00 to 20:00

Registration: Welcome and register all race participants for the day. Computer training is provided.

Bag Drop: Our manned locker service for racers to safely store their belongings while they race.

Finish Line: Welcome the victorious racers back with big smiles and high praises for their efforts! Make sure that every racer receives a well-deserved medal, finisher T-shirt, water and snacks.

Kids Race: Be involved with the kids aged 4-13 years old as they compete for glory as well! Position available on Sprint and Super events.
