Who this task will support
Richmond Borough MIND
We offer information, advice and support to young people and adults experiencing mental health issues, as well as their carers. Our work supports all communities in the borough of Richmond and surrounding areas. Whether you’re dealing with low mood or imminent crisis, we have a range of services to help you. We’re passionate about prevention and also offer training.

Come along and help by volunteering at the Richmond Mind Mental Elf Festive Fun Run on Sunday 6th December. Fancy dress for volunteers is not obligatory but very much encouraged - please incorporate your GoodGym t-shirt if you can! We have loved doing this the last couple of years.

Whether volunteers are marshalling the route, handing out water, cheering on our speedy elves, or welcoming families at the finish line, they’ll be helping spread joy while supporting the mental health of people across Richmond.

Registration begins at 9:30AM, and the run begins at 11AM.

The event highlights the importance of physical wellbeing to support our mental wellbeing, and to raise vital funds for Richmond Borough Mind.

A MESSAGE FROM MIND

I'm delighted to announce… The Mental Elf Festive Fun Run is back for 2026 - and we’d love your volunteers to join our merry crew again, last year they were such an incredible help!

Last year, Marble Hill Park sparkled with festive magic as over 200 Santas, elves and reindeer antlers dashed, danced and jingled their way around the 5k route.

Your team were at the heart of it all - helping with set-up and take-down, cheering, guiding, handing out medals, and filling the park with warmth and smiles. We simply couldn’t have done it without them.

I've attached a few pics as well as an image which might be useful for you to share. If you could post on social media that would be amazing - I know you have a huge following! Any likes or shares of our posts would also be a big help.

Now… we're looking to do it all again - brighter and more magical than ever! Where: Marble Hill Park, Twickenham

When: Sunday 6th December 2026

Your can view all the details about the event here: https://www.rbmind.org/support-us/fundraising-events/mental-elf-festive-fun-run-2026-2/ And please sign up to volunteer here: https://forms.cloud.microsoft/pages/responsepage.aspx?id=8KLGfIdIBUW6tjfx2E7ARmvhsGm8YzFAi7sEKt5rapZUNjlOMThUSUI1NzRDWEZTWU42UjdTU1lBMi4u&route=shorturl

In the past, your volunteers have helped with set-up and take-down of the event as well as taking part in the event - this is totally do-able! We’ll make sure they have everything they need to get stuck in - and of course, festive treats to keep them going. With your help, we can make 2026 the most festive, fun-filled event yet - and raise even more vital funds for local mental health.
