3,2,1... Go Mental!Mental Elf time

Sunday 7th December

Written by StephDucat

On a wet and damp Sunday morning 5 Goodgymers made their way to Marble Hill Park in Richmond. Setup for Mind RIchmond for another Festive Fun Run 5km. Putting up gazebos, tables, chairs and signs up. How many Goodgymers does it take to put signs up with cellotape? 5 of course: 1 supervisor, 1 sign holder, 1 cellotape master, 1 scissor crafter and 1 quality controller . All was up in no time and ready for the choir to sing songs, followed by a Go Mental warmup before a race at 11am which 4 goodgymers ran. Then it was time to put down and pack everything in the rain.

Mental Elf

Sunday 1st December 2024

Written by Anita (she/her)

Sunday 1 December 2024 saw 7 GoodGymers discovering their inner Elfs (Elves?) spending a wet but wonderful Sunday morning helping to set up and marshall a 5km ‘Mental Elf’ fun run that was all about raising money for the Richmond Mind Charity. https://www.rbmind.org/support-us/mental-elf-fun-run-2024

Africa, Adam and Steph arrived early to help set up the event, with Adam and Steph going on to trail blaze the three lap circuit as Elves 001 and 002.

Harry, Chris, JP and Anita joined the second wave of volunteers, helping to marshall the 3 lap route around Marble Hill Park, Twickenham , directing and cheering on the 100+ participants.

Elves of Richmond we salute you.
