Harvey, Chris, Remy, Muhammad and Michelle met up with Jan from Friends of Turnham Green to give the rockery area a little pre-spring clean.

Our first job was to remove the homemade christmas lanterns. The lanterns had been made by local residents from garden canes, filled with fairy lights and hung from the trees on Turnham Green in the run up to christmas. They’re now pride of place in gardens in west London including one or two GG gardens.

We divided the other jobs between us. Chris went on a litter picking mission around the rockery while Harvey and Muhammad cleared a pile of weeds and planted some bulbs with Remy and Michelle.

Better light than never Just as we were finishing up at the rockery Lucy and Jonathan arrived from their second mission of the morning and helped with the last of the clear up.

A quick group photo and it was time to wave goodbye to Jan and head off on foot and bike.
