Lewisham

Mission

Our t-shirts were red, the sofa was too, we got it downstairs once we took out the screws

Mr L had a hospital bed in his living room and his family were hoping we could clear more space for him by taking out their big red sofa bed. As it was a corner sofa, we first had to take apart the side and the back section. These were still too large to manoeuvre down the stairs so we had to unscrew the mechanisms in order to split each part into two. Mr L's family had the screwdrivers we needed and his care worker kindly helped us with the job. Once it was in parts, we carefully lifted, slid and rolled each part of the sofa down the two flights of stairs and into the garden. It was definitely a workout in the humidity and with our masks on but our mission was successfully accomplished!
