Explorer Events are putting on virtual mountain marathon events, whereby participants can download the MapRun app on their phone and then go and take part in a 'mountain marathon' navigation event over a period of 2 hours, any time at all. People can walk or run and collect as many checkpoints as they wish or are able to do, and can participate solo or together. More info is here. Don't be put off by the word 'marathon'. This is NOT a marathon! It is simply a flexible event where you can choose how fast or slow you go, what route you take, and so on.

We will take part in this event, heading out on our own or with friends, but starting and finishing at the same time. Afterwards, we'll head to Linda's house at Bradwell for some socially-distanced food and drinks. Linda will lay on some food and soft drinks; bring beer if you would like it. We'll find out from Linda what else we can bring closer to the time.

Lifts to the Peak may be available, subject to car availability and Covid-19 legality.

At the present time a limit of 6 applies to this event; this will be amended if the rules change in the meantime.
