Who this task will support
HIVE Portsmouth
HIVE Portsmouth is a strategic partnership in Portsmouth consisting of a representative group of the voluntary and community sector, NHS Portsmouth Clinical Commissioning Group and Portsmouth City Council. We work with local people, groups and organisations in a way that recognises and nurtures the strengths of individuals, families and communities and helps to build independence and self-reliance as an alternative to a reliance on traditional services. We connect people and organisations to share, support and learn in order to meet the needs of individuals and are committed to working together with the objective of building a happier, healthier and more connected city.

The Portsmouth Volunteer Hive has asked crafters to make D-Day themed decorations.

Local Care Homes will use them for their parties and commemorative events for the 80th Anniversary of D-Day.

GoodGymers who enjoy crafting can let their imagination run wild, making things such as bunting, pictures, hanging mobiles... with a red, white & blue theme or military camouflage.

We will use tables at MAKE, but we should order drinks or food to thank MAKE for the use of their venue.

Please bring any materials that might meet the theme. There will be fabrics & sewing materials to use. It would be helpful to bring any art equipment, themed pictures or resource material for others to use and for inspiration.

I love to combine keeping active, helping my local community, protecting the environment and having fun with others doing the same.
