Woodthorpe School Nature Area
We are creating a nature learning area in the school grounds so that all children can enjoy forest school, explore nature and benefit from being outdoors.

Woodthorpe School are developing a nature garden for the children to experience wild plants and learn about nature. The pupils are working on the project, and once complete all children will be able to spend more time outdoors, learning about the natural environment. Goodgym's help will give a boost to the children and parent volunteers who are working hard to create the area.

Our first task is a familiar one to most of us, digging out old root stumps in an overgrown area. The roots are from brambles, nettles and elder. This will help clear the way for part 2 of the task next Saturday (22nd) - feel free to join us that that one too, where we will be barrowing material to make the paths.

Please bring gardening gloves, and dress in older clothes suitable for potentially getting muddy.
