Clearing an overgrown car park of weeds and brambles

One advantage of our new way of working is we can reach parts of the city that were beyond our previous 5km radius....like Portslade!

The public car park in the village is in a sorry state with masses of brambles and bind weed and needs a good tidy up.

The City Clean department say its not their area and the Parking department say they have no budget for cutting back vegetation so local Cllr Leslie Hamilton is at a loss as to how to tidy it up. At least he was until he heard about us!!

It's a good 'meaty' task with loads for us to do and will provide a very satisfactory before/after 'good job done' feeling!! There are street lights but bring a head torch and secateurs if you have them. If not tools will be provided.

This is a great opportunity to have a reason to run to a different part of our city. If the distance is a bit far for you then how about cycling or part cycling on a social bike and running the rest.
