Don't make fun of my compost pile. It's biodegrading

Our Tuesday group run had us going to Canbury Community Gardens this week. As a warm up, we did a lap of Fairfield park, through the marketplace in town, down a dark alley (safety in numbers) to the river to run along the path. Luke kindly pointed out the edge of the path by Turks Pier where the lack of lighting and the sharp corner meant that I nearly had an early swim. Thanks Luke! Forever in your debt.

We arrived at Canbury Community Gardens and Marilyn, the task owner, welcomed us in. Petra was already there, fork in hand, waiting for the GoodGym calvary to arrive. Our main task was to help sort the well-managed compost heap. Divided into three, there was one rotted pile to ready to move and the other two that needed turning. The six of us worked in rotation as it was heavy work and we all took a turn moving the ready compost into the wheelbarrow. It was wheely, wheely fun.

After an hour we had completed the task and left feeling happy with our mission.
