The conclusion of our leafleting trilogy for LOROS ahead of the Leicester Half Marathon this Sunday.

We returned to Belgrave Road to complete the streets we didn't manage last time due to running out of leaflets. Now armed with 1,000 further information sheets notifying residents of the road closures in place for the race, we raced up and down the streets at a phenomenal pace, completing the task at 7pm and 18 seconds - the best laid plans! And no rain this week either!

The evening had started in disaster, Jen and Stu had gone for a pre-task litter pick and bundled in late having lost Stu's phone! More of the team were armed with wooden spoons to aid the leaflet insertion process, Dave sped things up by acting as a specialist leaflet folder which became a popular tactic when the last road turned into a race to the end!

The Diwali lights and decorations up on Belgrave Road provided a stunning backdrop for our evening's work and the night finished on a high when a return to the scene of the crime managed to uncovered Stu's phone in a pile of leaves!

All's well that ends well!

Off we go to St Matthew's next week for a lovely gardening/planting task. Don't forget your head torches and something bright and visible to wear!
