3 GoodGymmers arrived at St Matthews Big Local to re-paint the planters outside the centre.
We got stuck in, the boys being pro's and Stu was keen to put me right with how much paint to put in the brush, always have a banter between us.
One passer by congratulated us and commented how lovely the planters look from her balcony, which was lovely to be able to make a difference to the community. Weldone team fantastic work all 3 planters look as good as new.
Number 49 next in 30 min is my 50th task!

8 GoodGymmers made their way to the Mind Warehouse, 4 of us ran there the long route, to avoid the flooded meadows. This is not cross country today.
The Mind Charity Warehouse sort and organise charity donations to supply the Mind charity shops with top quality items to help people suffering with mental health. The rest of the donations go to third world counties and other needs such like Ukraine refugees and winter warmth for people living in poverty and the homeless. Did you know...every item in a Mind charity shop goes through 5 quality checks!
The team got stuck straight in with the majority having already visited before. The team sorted more than a whole cage of charity bags with Steve and Stu finding new outfits. Weldone team, smashing work, the manager and deputy manager were very grateful for all your help as you know.
Extra weldone to Lindsay who is running 2km everyday in March for Alzheimers charity, she's ran more than double her target today 7km!

5 GoodGymmers survived the blustery weather to walk 5 miles with a few detours from floods. Luckily Leese knows the area well to re-route and threw in a tourists guide to the local history too!
Weldone all, I enjoyed the adventure, especially the chocolate bar from Tommo, cheers and pleased you like your new t-shirt.

5 Goodgymers met at Jenno's Everards Meadows to enjoy a social stroll following the first part of Narlei 1 route of the Slow ways. All of the Leicester routes are quite far so we decided to split into 2 walking sessions- next one Monday pm.
Navigating our way we checked the route for walking surface, accessibility and how easy it was to navigate. This route deffinatly scores high for scenery across the meadows, through the nature reserve, over the canal and down one of the best hill rep hills in Leicester.
Very enjoyable walk with great company, we welcomed M.A.Thompson who I was suprised to see today because I only know this legend by his nickname, hope you enjoyed the walk Tommo, weldone team we walked an amazing 5.6 miles in exactly 2 hours and only got soaked towards the end!

4 Super Goodgymers made their way to B-Inspired Food share to help build a shiney new crate to store food supplies for the community.
Stuthought he was going to put food in crates not build an actual crate that a crane may have been useful to place the lid. First task back for Stu he was very much missed last week, but he's back on top form with his one-liners making us laugh.
After some hard graft and working together as a team, taking 3x longer than the video, they stuck at it and got the job done celebrating with a hot drink, very weldone perfect example of where more hands gets a job done quickly and correctly.
Fantastic work team really proud of you all and the effort you put in to help others.
