Three GoodGymer's cheered on runners at the Norfolk marathon.
Becky, with her dog Emmy, marshaled and encouraged runners on one corner just after mile 20, whilst at one point nursing an unwell runner who later left in an ambulance. She was also joined by many family and excited children cheering on runners.
Meanwhile Jonathan and Susanna managed a busy water station just before mile 20, preparing and separating electrolyte drinks and water for each runner as well as tidying any cups or gel sachets left by runners along the route. Similar to Becky, they encountered a young unwell runner and provided him with water and food before he was attended by medics and taken away to the finish line by car. Many runners needed their own bottles refilled but needed assistance from GoodGym to fill them up due to fatigue so late in the race.
Managing water cups for runners became crucial as stock was low but fortunately the run director arrived to provide a few more to help.
Managing and redirecting locals unaware of the race in vehicles too was a challenge faced by the GoodGymer's at both Marshall points, however they were friendly and accommodating.
