Alongside our monthly volunteering session at Acton junior parkrun, we also organised a collection of old running shoes from the children and families at today's event. And they did not disappoint! The shoes are headed for JogOn, who will find good homes for the better ones and break down/recycle the ones at the end of their lives.

This was a weekend for shoes collections, as Osterley parkrun did the same yesterday! A huge thanks to their team for adding our shoes and transporting the whole lot the to Jog0n warehouse!

Thanks to the amazing team at Action juniors and We Run Ealing for their support and letting everyone know about the collection.

We Run Ealing
Delivering inclusive community-focused running activities and related volunteering for people of all ages and abilities in Ealing

WE RUN EALING is the charitable arm of the award-winning Ealing Half Marathon. We deliver community-focused running initiatives, many of which are free and open to people of all abilities. Previously known as EHM Legacy, thanks to Ealing Half Marathon, we have done heaps of stuff over the last ten years to help get people moving in Ealing. We have had installed a new drinking fountain installed Lammas Park โ€“ popular with humans and dogs! During lockdown we arranged events to encourage Ealing residents to run or walk to dozens of local parks. More recently we have brought the Blended Trails trail-running concept to Ealing and launched Ealingโ€™s first ever Food Bank Run, in partnership with GoodGym and parkrun.
