After global marathons in Lisbon, Bruges, Amsterdam, Yorkshire and our very own Kate knocking out a PB in Poznań, it's been a great week of running which continued last night at our group run in Hounslow!

Welcome to GoodGym Rachané, great to have you join us on your first group run! It was also brilliant to see some lovely new faces at Hounslow - hello Amy and Helen . Give them all a cheer!

Other bits of news included some dates for your diary:

After our warm up we discussed the world's greatest sporting events. Wimbledon came out top, but honourable mentions go to the Olympics, the Ashes, World Darts Champs, the VLM and Eurobasket. What a great mix.

We set off for Cavendish School, a place we'd been to before to help out with their dipping pool and wildlife area, and arrived to find PTA member Segolen waiting for us with a list of tasks.

It almost looked like we were going to have to send Andy over the fence again, but thankfully, and is if by magic, the gates opened and we could get stuck into the jobs.

While the first group got to work shifting junk into the skip, the second lot began weeding the raised beds ready for planting. Meanwhile the third group was getting handy with pickaxes, rakes and giant plastic scoopers clearing another area ready for some fruit trees.

After some hard graft we called it a night at the school and headed back a slightly different route to Turnham Green where we did a technique and form session aimed at improving our running style. It wouldn't be a Wednesday GoodGym without finishing off with a minute plank, and after all that, we were well and truly done. Great work everybody!

Next week it's our third birthday party so make sure you come along to celebrate with [a task helping to prep an area for tree planting] and some fun birthday themed fitness!
