It was great to be back in the magic warehouse of Emmaus for the fab tasks Xanne had planned for GoodGym Bristol.

Moving furniture one way, moving other furniture another way, finding all the books and DVDs around the warehouse, CV leaning the shop's external windows and sorting clothing donations. And getting trapped in the lift without the magic code.

With the parallel task of finding headgear for the final photo, everyone was kept really busy and it was a right old hubbub on an otherwise gloomy day.

Oh, and Liverpool then beat Man U 4-0 so Vaguely Northern Darren was especially happy.

What a way to top off the week that Dave Guest completed his 1,000th good deed - what a hero!

We believe that people who are homeless and socially excluded have something to offer. We encourage people to use their skills to change themselves – and change the world.

We know that overcoming homelessness often means more than a roof over your head. That’s why we support people to work their way out of homelessness, providing meaningful work as well as a stable home for as long as someone needs it.
