Whale Island beach seemed much cleaner than on our previous visits. We were told that a group has started cleaning this beach during 2020.

Nonetheless, John, Vicki, Manuel and I still collected a lot of plastic bottle lids, sweet wrappers and pieces of fishing rope & line, watched by the ever-patient, but increasingly bored, Tess.

There were kayakers, swimmers, dog-walkers and local residents using this tiny beach and we had a few thank-yous, and people added litter to our bags.

A productive hour!
