Victoria Park was both bright and beautiful this morning. A welcome sight after all the rain. Today we were working on a few different beds. A lot of cutting back had taken place earlier in the week which now needed to be raked up and put in the mulch bags. It was satisfying to see it all cleared and great to be working in the fresh air. After some refreshments and lively chat, we parted company until the next session.

The area around the church was looking quite nice and tidy.
Lost count of the number of cig butt's found around the bus stop!
And of course there was the discovery of a very wet sock!

Val and I mixed up our multiple tasks - a Monday Motivation training session merged into the delivery of Borrow Bags and a beach clean.
The recent storms had brought in loads of plastic and fishing line. We collected as much as we could from the seaweed high tide mark.
We had time at the end of our multi-tasking for coffee & cake from Julia at the Diddy Van!

The playground itself was quite tidy but the perimeter fence was a different story.
Bottles, wrappers, tissues, all sorts had been caught up underneath.
But with a full bag binned it was looking a bit better!

Firstly, a warm welcome to Sam who joined us for his first GoodGym session. He showed great GG potential using skills to bend and reach bits of litter.
The North End Street Garden is showing signs of spring, with some daffodils starting to grow.
We managed to do a bit of weeding and plenty of litter picking. Top finds were a lego figure, one shoe & 2p!
Our only casualty was the gold litter picker, the repaired cord has snapped again, time for a visit to the Repair Cafe!
