A grave undertaking - clearing grass to create a wildlife meadow on Halloween

Seven Goodgymer's headed to a sunny Waterloo Park, to help the 'Friends' group with raking and removing grass, before they spread wildflower seed later this year.

The task involved raking, forking and aerating the soil to give the wildflower seed the best chance of thriving next year.

Due to the size of the area the design features spirals of wildflowers all across the field. We were then treated to some homemade scones and cake from the Friends of Waterloo Park and sat enjoying the sunshine and admiring all our work.
