Hi Simon, is there a secure bag drop here?

Hi Rob. We will try to leave bags at the Arsenal Community Hub (the team help us on our Monday group runs). If not possible, then we can leave them under the terrace on the Emirates Stadium concourse. I can stand close to them during the session.

Felt very welcomed. The group was well organised, clear instruction provided at the start and chat at the end. Would recommend.

Having just come back from a work trip and been super jet lagged, I had spent too much time sitting inside staring at my laptop and eating way too many bags of Maltesers.
So a mission labelled 'URGENT' was a great reason to finally get myself outside and do something useful.
Mrs N had been waiting for someone to bring hot food from a neighbourhood soup kitchen for some time and the previous volunteer had fallen ill so I was a last minute replacement.
Picked up 4 portions of vegetable soup and bread and embarked on a 20-min walk to Mrs N's place. Halfway through, a little bit of the soup had leaked, making the paper carrier bag slightly soggy ans weak so had to cradle the bag like a baby and support the bottom of the bag with one arm. Note to self to bring a sturdy plastic bag next time.
Mrs N was happy to see the food - she said her disability means she has to wait until the next time her carer visits or rely on volunteers to bring hot food to her.
See the photos of the midpoint check to see if food was still intact. And a random photo of the sky - thankfully it was a pleasant rain-free evening.

Southwark Report written by Sian Yeu
Ms S lives on a second floor flat with no lifts, and her health conditions meant she has had problems going up and down the stairs. She is hoping to be moved to a ground floor flat and has set out on a decluttering mission to prep for the aforementioned move.
She had several boxes and bags above the kitchen cupboards in spots which were difficult to reach with her mobility issues. She also had several bags and old household items which were piled up in the corridor just outside of her flat and needed to be taken outside to the rubbish disposal area.
All the items were quite light so the job was done quite quickly, but the space where the various bags and household items were sat for some time needed some cleaning. I told Ms S I wanted to do a quick clean as it would make better before and after photos :-) She initially said she didn't want to bother me and she could do it herself but it was also obvious that it would be more difficult for her to do with the pain she has from her health conditions anyway. So I did a quick clean. The whole job only took 45 mins or so.
Ms S thanked me several times and rewarded me with her beautiful smile.
Before and after photos of her corridor below!
