We welcomed Lily back to GoodGym after some time away this evening - lovely to have you back again, Lily!
Many hands made light work of our leaflet drop. Splitting up in to small teams, we got through our stack of flyers so quickly we even had time for a cheeky drink in a local pub garden.
I think more time was spent trying to come up with a Madness related pun as the event we were promoting included a Madness Tribute Band... "Claggy Trousers" as it got rather warm... it turns out our Ska Music knowledge wasn't really up to much!

The first of our 3rd birthday celebrations took place online, in keeping with the current rules and regs but we hope to have some in person celebrations over the summer which are guaranteed to include "too much" food.
Tonight's quiz reminded us why we love GoodGym with some photos between rounds to prompt memories of tasks gone by! The rounds were:
Congratulations to Jen who won with 39 points. No stewards enquiry required!
Party outfits (bonus points if they'd come from one of our charity shop visits); GG tees; glitter; fake beards; eyeliner and hats all made an appearance tonight, looking good GoodGym!
Lovely to see all your smiling faced. Look forward to getting together soon (hopefully in the sunshine too ☀)

The Ickle Pickles charity who raise money for neo natal units in the area are struggling to raise funds as a lot of their usual sources are shut due to lockdown.
In preparation for events once things start to reopen they put out a request for raffle prizes.
As always, the GoodGym members did not disappoint with a huge variety of prizes donated: chocolates, biscuits, bath products, body creams, scarves, virtual workouts, books, toys and a whole heap of other things. Luckily the person collating it all for us doesn't live far from me as it was a lot to carry!!
Big thanks to all from Ickle Pickles!

A quieter afternoon with the usual roles. Lovely to see my friend and neighbour Sue helping out! We should have been on a girls weekend tomorrow..... Lily on the door, meet and greet, Sue and Mel sharing the back door and inside church roles, and Lucy on waiting room escort. No dramas, and a fabulous home made chocolate cornflakes traybake to keep us going. Note the lack of dressing room, merely a dressing cupboard. No divas here...

Twelve Goodgymers took to the paths and streets to look for animals on buildings around them. They could be real, sculptures, signs, graffiti etc. And what an amazing and diverse collection was seen! Maura was our winner with an incredible 14 spots and also the earliest entry in! I particularily like the animals on the door. Well done :-)
Sarah was runner up for how many were spotted with a fabulous 12! They were also agreat collection of variety of how we represent animals all around us in our city architecture and sculpture.
Special mentions also go to Catherine who found the most real animals (and are we glad that these reports won't let me post the video of a rat??...)
Katie also found so many she sorted her finds into two collages of jolly grafiti and shop signs. Good effort!
Val found an amazing number of statues in her neighbourhood gardens and Judy got the best photo of the thatched Pheasant!
Lynn where on earth is this Swan on a bike?!
Sinéad great spotting getting the spire cockrel!
Rosie found a very serene griffin - love it!
Rachel was stealthy enough to find the most live cats!
Lily found a lost Sophie the girraffe and a sitting duck!
Finally, I found a life size cow on the roof of the Pheonix pub garden which I had never noticed before!
