Our coldest group run of the year so far and 10 brave goodgymers gathered at Glass Mill ready to do good. It was a last minute change of task due to bulbs not arriving in time at Florence Green.
We made our way up to The Albany and set about choosing between weeding and litter picking! There was a significant amount of both weeding done and litter picked with the area looking much tidier than when we arrived. Or so we hope, it was quite dark!!
The group got smaller and smaller by the time we got to Glass Mill. Time for a quick stretch and then home to warm up!

Another week, another lot of flyers for Age Exchange that needed to be delivered to spread the word about Age Exchange's Christmas Fayre. It's happening on the weekend if anyone wants to pop by!
We all gathered at Glass Mill and made our way up the hill to restart the flyering where we left off last week. At that point I left the group as I needed to rest my ankle so anything could have happened after I split the group into 2 and set them on their way!!
The groups continued where we left off and got most of the flyers delivered. The rest Paul very kindly delivered this week.
Hopefully they have a great turnout! Next week we are off to Florence Green to plant bulbs.

Once we tick into November we all know it's time to send out the flyers for the Age Exchange Christmas Fayre and if you're a Greenwich group runner as well then you potentially get double the fun of spreading the word for this great event that raised money for the charity.
We all decided to walk to the start of our flyering where we were met by Oli who has been out of action for too long but now back and ready to get stuck in!!
We divided into 2 groups to tackle one side of the roads and the roads leading off it and then regrouped at Majestic wines. And it all went smoothly, everyone headed the warnings about not posting through letter boxes if we heard dogs and abiding by no junk mail.
Next week we're doing the same again bit the top half of the road. See you there!

A group that got smaller and smaller as the day went on gathered at Glass Mill ready to tackle the litter at The Albany Theatre.
It was fantastic to be back leading the warm and inching closer to being able to lead the actual run (hopefully on Monday). I'm very grateful to everyone who has stepped up during this ankle saga!
Onto the task, it was perfect timing as we all arrived at The Albany at the same time. We split into 2 groups to tackle the litter inside the garden and also outside surrounding the garden.
The outside team did end up with the fuller bin bag. It wasn't a competition but well done, a Paul sized bin bag looked pretty full of litter, not Paul!
Next week we are visiting Heston Nature Reserve and apparently there'll be non-alcoholic punch as a thank you for our hard work.

Another visit to Crofton Park Railway Garden and another shed to move! We had practice of moving the first shed not long ago and now it was time to move the second shed.
A shed moving team formed and created a human chain to move all the items from inside the shed to the new shed location. It was then time to move the shed, which I didn't actually see but I did see the shed in its new position!
Other tasks that we tackled were clearing the leaves from the garden, moving the compost from one compost pile to the other and sweeping the woodchip.
Ticking everything off our list, it was soon time to head back to Glass Mill. Hopefully we'll be invited back to put up the new shed!
