This morning attended junior park run to carry out marshal duties.

Unfortunately others members could not make it due to other commitments and regular members being way.

It was a very wet park run this morning with huge puddles around the 2k course 🫠. In total 80 runners attended and all did really well dodging the puddles as they were running around.

The fastest time was an amazing 06:29 with 14 PB's Great running by everyone. 🏃🏼‍♂️

JUNIOR PARK RUN

This morning Wayne, Alys, & Sharon carried different volunteering roles at the junior park run.

All three of them were out on the 2k course as marshals cheering and encouraging the runners around. Alys once again brought along her power up board 💥 to give the runners an extra boost.

in total there were 88 runners this morning with the fastest time at an amazing 07:39. There were also 19 PB's fantastic running by everyone.

Next week we are at the food bank in town. Please remember its a Thursday not our normal Wednesday we will meet at the leisure center and run together. 😄

EASTER SUNDAY JUNIOR PARK RUN

This morning was a nippy but dry and 4 GG Members carried out various volunteering roles at the junior park run 🏃🏼‍♂️. James was the run director while Wayne , Adam, & Alys were out on the 2k course as marshals cheering and encouraging the runners.

Alys had been very creative and made up a power up board that the young runners tapped to get a power boost and accelerate them around 💥.

In total today there were 70 runners with the fastest time an amazing 07:57. There were also 8 PB's Well done to everyone.

Next week we should be back at the RSPCA to finish off the painting just waiting for confirmation once confirmed the task will be listed i will keep you all updated.

NEWS

A big congratulation to James & Adam who took part in the Weymouth 1/2 Marathon this morning. Both completed the race in fantastic times. 🏃🏼‍♂️💨

This morning certinally was a wet one. Wayne, Anne, Katie & Alys carried out various roles at the junior park run, from marshaling to scanning tokens.

In total today 65 runners tackled the 2k course with fastest time being an impressive 07:04. Also there were 12 PB's. Amazing job by everyone.

Mothers Days Park Run 💐

This morning 5 GG Members carried out various volunteering Roles at junior park run. 🏃🏼‍♂️

Firstly a big congratulations to James & Rebecca who both completed the Battersea Half Marathon yesterday. Both of them completed the course in fantastic times 👏🏻

So this morning James was run director. He had assigned Wayne, Katie & Abi as marshalls around the course to cheers & support the runners around the 2k course. Anne was in charge of the funnel making sure the runners ended up going through the finishing line to get their barcodes scanned.

Abi was down for the weekend from Uni to see her mum, it was great catching up with Abi who is currently recovering from a hip injury 😤 hope you get better soon.

In total this morning we had 85 runners. The fastest time was an incredible 06:25 which i believe was a course record. In total there were also 27 PB's amazing achievement by everyone. 👏🏻

In total this morning Wayne cycled 22k while Katie & Anne ran 17k between them. 😄

This coming Wednesday James will be leading running intervals at the park, we will then head over to the Pub to have some food.

Cancellation Of Junior Park Run 😢

This morning Wayne, James. & Anne had signed up to carry out volunteering duties at the junior park run.

Unfortunately due to the bad weather we have had over the last few days it had to be cancelled due to flooding and ice around the park & the 2k course.

Instead Wayne did a 17k bike ride 🚴 and James did a 16k run 🏃🏽

Anne continues with her training for the San Francisco marathon which is coming up very soon.

Next Wednesday we are back at Foodwise to do a 2nd coat of paint.
