Today the weather was cool & a light drizzle, perfect for a Parkrun. Another ammended start due to the circus being in the Park. 300 people made it round today, including Goodgymers Rob R, Rob O & Kathryn J Well done everyone

Run number 491 was a scorcher even 08.30 when volenteers arrived. Didn’t put off 422 people arrived to run/jog/walk around this Park. Age Uk took over a lot of the volunteer posts today as they told us about their work, here in Norwich. Goodgym runners today, Rose, Panda Dave, Rob R, Alina, Rob O.

363 people lined up for a different start today as the Fair is in the Park. With every available Marshall lining the start to funnel everyone around The Waltzer then back to the usual route. It was a bit spooky as 363 people ran past us but no accidents thank goodness. Today I was number checker, Brad was token support, Bobby at church street turn, & Rob R ran then volunteered as Scanner. Goodgym runners today Emily, Rosin, Katie L (&buggy) & speedy Rob. Well done all, it was very warm, to both run & marshalling

#490 Catton Parkrun saw myself putting on the blue hi viz as Parkwalker. We have a number of people who Parkwalk & many wear the blue Parkwalker t shirts. It’s very important to advocate this side of Parkrun, it’s getting out into this park for companionship, mental health , exercise. Running/walking today in Goodgym colours were Bobby, Rob R, Roisin , Alina, Maddy, Kathryn & Nicole, Well done everyone.

Last night it was Aylsham 5K so the volunteers rota was full mostly, like me ran last evening so we’re pleased to be cheering others on. 328 people turned out today, weather was overcast but warm! Goodgym runners today Bobby, Rob O Panda Dave, Kathryn & Alina. There was a few first timers to Parkrun & 1 tourist.

What a wet morning greeted both participants & volunteers! It didn’t stop ! But we were prepared, weather, wellies, umbrellas. We didn’t think we’d get many today, but no! 256 people braved this Parkrun, including Goodgymers Rob O, Tom, Roisin. Because the start field hadn’t been mowed RD James slightly changed the start to avoid the very long grass, phew it was a little chaotic! Volunteering, truly was epic today Ralph, Susanna & I earned our wages 😂 that’s for sure. This is what volunteering is all about, if you don’t volunteer the event wouldn’t take place, & those participating certainly “enjoyed” themselves, I imagine everyone went straight into the shower/bath to clean off the mud splatters & then 256 washing machine were switched on! Same time next week everyone.
