A small but mighty group met at Glass Mill, it seemed everyone had plans on Monday which meant only 4 of us to tackle the flyering for the Christmas concert and over 60's dance classes. Trinity Laban are trying to expand their reach in the local community and are hosting lots of free to attend events with some being targeted at over 60's.
It was a 2km run to the flats that we needed to deliver the flyers to. The benefits of flyering here is that we can easily deliver to the majority of the flats, the downside is that we have to go up and down lots and lots of stairs. We definitely got a good work out!!
We managed to deliver a lot of flyers with such a small group and Paul is kindly going to deliver our remaining flyers this week to the flats we didn't get to.
We've also been invited to the Christmas event on 10th December!

Our coldest group run of the year so far and 10 brave goodgymers gathered at Glass Mill ready to do good. It was a last minute change of task due to bulbs not arriving in time at Florence Green.
We made our way up to The Albany and set about choosing between weeding and litter picking! There was a significant amount of both weeding done and litter picked with the area looking much tidier than when we arrived. Or so we hope, it was quite dark!!
The group got smaller and smaller by the time we got to Glass Mill. Time for a quick stretch and then home to warm up!

Another week, another lot of flyers for Age Exchange that needed to be delivered to spread the word about Age Exchange's Christmas Fayre. It's happening on the weekend if anyone wants to pop by!
We all gathered at Glass Mill and made our way up the hill to restart the flyering where we left off last week. At that point I left the group as I needed to rest my ankle so anything could have happened after I split the group into 2 and set them on their way!!
The groups continued where we left off and got most of the flyers delivered. The rest Paul very kindly delivered this week.
Hopefully they have a great turnout! Next week we are off to Florence Green to plant bulbs.

A quick community mission for this eve, a simple task of taking down the halloween decorations that we put up a couple of weeks ago.
Myself and Julian braved the ladders to get all the floating hats down and Louise tackled the many many bats on the windows.
Once done, we did a quick extra task of taking down a hanging sign which turned out to be rather heavy. After a bit of to me to you, we managed to fit it in its temporary home.
Once we'd made sure Di was safely in her Uber we headed to the Blythe Hill Tavern for a well earned drink!
