The WhatsApp group was buzzing on Wednesday night with runners and walkers getting out in the evening.
The grey weather that turned to rain was definitely not enticing so the accountability of the group definitely made the difference to motivation.
Rachel said it was 10% willpower and 90% community getting her out of the door.
Katie L was first out, still in the light and giving us to info on wind direction so we could plan accordingly.
Kat had sat down on her return from work but then felt the need to go out. Perhaps peer pressure wasn't such a good thing for her as a pulled muscle turned her run to a damp walk home. Heal fast Kat! She did take some lovely wet road photos though!
Judy was the only person to stay dry... The sun always shines in Southbourne!
Sinéad won best animal spot when she saw a toad in Festing Road. Was it one from the toad party in Jo's garden though?
Rosie was very pleased to be putting the GG tshirt on and timed her run perfectly to get home in time for dinner cooked by Aaron. I also arrived back after my run to the smell of curry cooking in our kitchen.... Winning!! 😁
Ellie was quiet on the group but no doubt running somewhere scenic in the New Forest and not wanting us to feel jealous!
As always, great efforts all round and probably a lot more walks and runs than there would have been if we hadn't had each other cheering us on. Teamwork makes the dream work!!
Theme of the run this week... Flowers.
These can be real (get out and find all the Spring flora) or not or road names /signs with flowers in.
Anything related to flowers goes.... It'll make for some lovely photo montages.
Have fun! Send me your pics for the run report.....
Join us for 30 minutes of core exercises... Guaranteed to work your mid section!!

So here's the idea....
- You join the virtual run WhatsApp group https://chat.whatsapp.com/B94TcxKCIis8V59XEzXJbg
- On Wednesday evening you let everyone know you're off for a run and how far you plan to go
- Go for your run by yourself or with one other, take a couple of snaps, enjoy yourself.
- Let everyone know you're back and how you got on.
So we all get to go out at the same time and know that it's almost like a normal Wednesday! ("Meet" at 615 for a 630 start).
If your work (or anything else) means you can't make it at the time, please join in on Monday or Tuesday or earlier on Wednesday.
February bingo consisted of 12 squares to tick off on the list, at any time during the month:
Exercise at sunrise
Double digits… Walk/jog/run 10km+

Humpday… Run over a hill (or bridge) on a Wednesday
Run/jog an errand
Take a donation to a food bank / collection point
Strength work, lift some weights or do some squats / lunges
Go off road
Spot some window displays / decorations on your run
