Prepping pallet planters with plastic 🌱
Simon asked me to line some flower boxes with plastic sheeting - turning wooden pallets into planters. With the aid of just a staple gun & some scissors, it was a very straightforward task. They are now ready for strawberry plants or other summer crops 🌱

Community Gardening @ Thorlands

Thor Lands Community Gardens in Camberwell offers a range of tasks for us to get involved with! There is an on-going project to convert this half an acre site into a thriving garden for the residents and locals to love. We meet at the "Walled Garden", which for newbies can be located exactly here using "what3words" - share.wished.rips. There is a variety of tasks from composting to weeding, sawing wood to cutting back brambles and raking leaves to planting trees - each week is different.
Health and Safety first: Please be advised that the task owner, Simon, cannot be vaccinated for medical reasons and would like us to be considerate, keep social distancing from him and to stay home if you develop a constant sneeze or cough.

Weir here for some weeding
Saturday morning and 5 of us gathered for a post parkrun community mission! We were joined by Harvey all the way from Ealing as well as Diane, Kaz And Rebecca.
Unfortunately Rita wasn’t there to meet us but we were able to get our hands on some tools and bin bags and dug up a lot of dandelions, thistles and many other weeds in just under an hour. The sun came out and we all headed off for our afternoon activities.

Tidying up the Garden at the Weir Link Centre

The Weir Link community centre offers social, educational, training and social support to local residents around the Clapham Park area.
They have a small garden space which they've asked for some GoodGym help with, keeping it maintained and looking nice!
The tasks will be:
🌱Weeding
🌱Tidying up of the edging
🌱Trimming over hanging branches
We need a few people and the task shouldn't take more than an hour.
🧤Please bring gardening gloves!!
There will be a few of us attending the Clapham Common Parkrun before this community mission. Sign up here

Diane has forgone the usual weekend routine. Instead of lie-ins, roasts and strolls around the park Diane has dropped everything to run a GoodGym mission for someone who needed help. Respect

Office move… 🪑
Rosanna cycled from Wimbledon and I ran from Brixton to help Mrs B move to a new bed. However, she asked if we could instead move a broken desk, chair and printer from her flat upstairs down to the hallway. Job done and dusted within just a few minutes - a wholesome start to the weekend! 🪑🖥
