Although there wasn't a lot of food to choose from to make tonight's meal, the one thing we did have lots of was eggs. So the question for the cooking team was how can we make a tasty dinner using eggs which isn't a tortilla and doesn't involve boiled eggs as we have had enough (or un oeuf) of peeling eggs. For the main course of eggs shakshuka many eggs needed cracking, and the dessert required more eggs to make a fruit custardy base with a meringue topping. So Dani, Lucie and Gill all got cracking in the kitchen. In the main hall the hosting team includes Neill and Abdulrahman, and although Sam was meant to be hosting we soon persuaded her to come into the kitchen as she is the number one potwasher on the team. Another successful meal with lots of happy guests.

Sunday morning saw two goodgymmers join forces with Friends of Dallow Downs and Winsdon Hill for their monthly litter pick. We met in a different location today, and covered a new green space which had accumulated lots of rubbish, so it was great to band together and tackle it as a team. There is a large Badger population residing in this area, and Sophie who organises the litter picks found an intact Badger skull which was very interesting. Clearing away this litter will make the park more enjoyable for all its users, humans and wildlife alike. Together, we collected ten bags of rubbish, a mattress, a fabric shopping bag on wheels and an abandoned posy of flowers. Great job!
