Winnowing Flax!
1 GoodGymer made their way to help the Portsmouth Residents and Visitors in Portsmouth.
- Wednesday, 14th of August 2024
- Led by Judy Knapp
This week we were separating the flax seeds from their pods ready to re-sow them in April. The pods are really light and the flax seeds heavy, so the wind or just blowing lightly easily separated the two. It was very mindful sitting, chatting and also learning more about the process from seed to linen. At the end of the session, and after a lovely drink from the Park Cafe, we went our separate ways.
