I am profoundly depressed by the amount of litter where I live. It seems to be a symptom of the way we choose to live in our society. Today I cleared litter from an area I cleared before Christmas. It was back to the way it was before Christmas but I wanted to start to clear up the area. I filled the back of the car twice with litter, including a bed and chest of drawers which had been left in an alley way near to where I live. I met some lovely people whilst doing it and some gave me food and drink to keep me going. I am determined to get others involved so that we can keep the area clean. All in all a great day and that post-litter-picking cup of tea tasted amazing.
