We ran to Mr. P in the threat of rain, his first question was if we were still okay to do the work but we don't give up easy at GoodGym. So he let us around the back and into the shed, we got out the strimmer and mower and then had a chat with Mr. P. He asked us about GoodGym so we gave him the low down on why we do what we do, he then brought out a photo to show us the garden in all its glory when his wife used to get her green fingers on it. Amazed at how beautiful the garden was we put ourselves to work to at least make it tidy for Mr. P and his wife.

Emma took some photos and we decided who would be on strimmer duty (this was Mikey) and who would take on the lawn with the mower (this was Emma). We learnt that Emma doesn't like a strimmer and that Mikey gets very easily distracted, but this wouldn't stop us.

As Emma made her laps around the first lawn, Mikey went around in circles starting with the washing line pole and the overgrown grass. After Emma had finished the first part of the lawn Mr. P appeared with some refreshing orange juice which we were very grateful for.

We had a quick chat before swapping lawns and continuing with the task at hand. After another 15 minutes of laps we had mowed and trimmed all around the garden, Emma had emptied the mower multiple times and Mikey had fought off the ever grabbing blackberry plant at the back of the garden which had taken a shine to his GoodGym t-shirt.

We stepped back to admire our work and check if we had missed anywhere, Emma's eye caught a plant and she just had to know what it was. Mikey distracted again wondered off to strim just one more time. Mr. P came out and told us that the plant was a variety of Rose, we put away the machines and Mr. P thanked us once again.

Emma and Mikey had a quick chat outside then headed their separate ways, both green fingered and green shoed from all the grass cuttings.

This was a lovely introduction to my first mission run, but next time Emma you will be in one of the photos!
