Honorable mention to Martin for starting the day with a trip to nearby Mile End parkrun to clock up his 320th parkrun. Formidable dedication there!
Philippa and I joined him at the Brady Arts centre in Spitalfields at 10am to get the place set up and sorted ahead of the Chicksand Winter Fun day! We were fortunately provided with a floor plan and set to work arranging the furniture in the desired arrangement. In typical GoodGym fashion we made light work of it, and after a mere half an hour we had pretty much got it all laid out appropriately.
We were met shortly after by terrific task owner Bablu who gave us some further guidance on the finishing touches upon his arrival. Once those were done we headed over to a local resident's house to see if we could assist with bringing over the equipment and ingredients for the sumptuous curry they were providing later on.
With everything nicely set, the three of us said our goodbyes, wishing Bablu all the best for a most successful afternoon ahead. Our wonderful trainer Laura popped in later to see the fun day in full flow, and was pleased to report that our help was much appreciated and that the event was a resounding success.
