The Chair-men of GoodGym

2 GoodGymers made their way to help an isolated older person in Lambeth.

John and Louis both headed down a few stops on the Victoria Line to Stockwell to help Mrs E. For John, this particular block of flats was hard to find, due to the lack of directions or maps on the estate, and the people he asked couldn't help. However, both runners made the front door by the alloted time.

Next part of the mission was to find the door key pad where a code, supplied by GoodGym, had to be entered to gain admission. Eventually the pad was located, and we went up to meet Mrs E.

St Thomas' Hospital had asked Good Gym's assistance to allow a reclining chair to be brought in, so Mrs E could get up from her bed for the first time for weeks. We needed to move a large chair out of the way, as well as shifting a table to allow more space for equipment so Mrs E can get to her new chair easily.

Logistically the task proved quite a challenge, as the small room was full of furniture, but GoodGymers' ingenuity, not to say strength, was equal to the task, and before long a space was cleared for the chair and equipment, so Mrs E will now enjoy far more mobility.

This was Louis' first task, so welcome along Louis and no doubt it will be the first of many.
