Task one... Painting at Oasis Nature Garden. 3 miles run. Report by Alex Tylor. To be sung to the theme tune of The Poddington Peas.

Down at the bottom of the Garden, Among the birds and the bees, There's a lot of helpful people They're called the GOODGYM DREAM TEAM!

There was painting, woodwork and spray painting We met a friendly fox Singing, running and making new friends Did I mention we met a fox?

THE GOODGYM DREAM TEAM! THE GOODGYM DREAM TEAM!

Task Two. Clearing at Stockwell Park Estate. 1.5 miles run. LOTS of Circuits. Report by Jonny Buck.

The other group of runners went on a pretty short run to tackle an absolutely MAMMOTH task - the garden/jungle on Stockwell Park Estate.

Over the years it had become an a dumping ground for empty beer bottles, leaflets, plastic bags, and anything else you can imagine... even an old pair of knickers (classy). Not only that but it had also become a jungle of stinging nettles and weeds, literally over head height when we arrived. Wouldn't have been surprised to find an undiscovered community of indigenous people living in the back!

But was this enough to stop GoodGymers new and old - Certainly Not!! Amid Sprint Circuits and Squats; spades, shearers, rakes you name it, were all seen hacking it back, and in what seemed like no time at all the entire place was cleared, not a piece of glass or nettle in sight. One new GoodGym participant found their calling as a motivational speaker, and even some guy from the Green Party happened to walk past and ask what on earth was going on. So good stuff all round really.

All in all, the guys did an incredible job and have made this once horrible place somewhere which can now be used as a vibrant garden or community space, which will make the people who live near it proud to live there.

WELL DONE EVERYONE!!
