This mornings task was a bit touch and go after a lot of parkruns were being cancelled throughout the day yesterday. Luckily for us, Bexley is full of hardcore runners who are not put off by the wind, so we met as planned at the start line of Bexley parkrun.

We were out repping the Red Thunder, filling volunteer positions as well as running the course.

Once finishes, we made our way up to the Old English Gardens and was met by Nicky. She always has the hot drinks ready, so we had a cuppa, grabbed our tools and got to work weeding the flower beds.

We were all having a good catch up, finding out about Nicks holiday and discussing upcoming tasks and socials.

After not long at all we had filled 5 buckets of weeds and roots.

We gathered for a group pic and also to reward Matt and Nick with their 'Outstanding parkrunner' certificates as they couldn't make it on the day. Well done guys! Very well deserved!

Remember! We will have the chance to help at the OEG every month! Keep an eye out for the next Community Mission!
