GoodGym's runners worked hard last night. We not only went to clear another third of Tabitaa's aunt's garden after running 7.2k, but another group ran a good 5k to Stepney City Farm, where we helped them get ready for their party on Saturday by lifting a good assortment of stuff. Photographs in this blogpost as not as accurate as usual: we had some jouralists from Norway and a photographer with them and we thought we could use their photos, we'll have to wait until after their article has been published, so please accept these mildy innaccurate ones until then.Last night, due to some trouble with some minis, we were not able to get into the Arch Gallery, so convened instead at the very friendly Town Hall Hotel (pictured above), who looked after our bags stylishly and professionally while we did the usual running and lifting heavy things. We split into three teams:  team one helped the blacksmith with getting things sorted out.  Their work involved a van, a skip and a blacksmith.  They seemed to do a lot of lifting things that were mainly made of metal. Another group spent a lot of time lifting slabs of stone.  They were heavy but we used wheelbarrows and a cart to get them sorted. We probably lifted a ton or so of them acrross the farm.Simultaneously, some of us were carrying pieces of real plywood accross the farm. We lifted about 20 or so of these 8x5ft sheets. Then we moved onto tackling a mound of gravel.  This had been left behind by some railway contractors and we shifted half of it around the corner.Elsewhere people were moving sofas and trying to lift a Shed. It was an action packed evening of lifting.Stepney City farm have invited us to go to their new barn launch party and hear music from the blacksmith amongst others.  It's from 12 - 4pm on Saturday.  Come along, you won't have to lift things. Please note: the pictures in this blogpost may not be accurate depictions of what actually happened.
