On a warm April afternoon, Martin and Nathan headed out to Llandough to meet Mrs C and lend a hand with her front lawn. Mrs C explained that while she was still able to mow the lawn and keep in under control, she wasn't able to get down and tackle the weeds and stray grass that had invaded the borders. The garden had been her husbands second love (after her) and she wanted to be able to appreciate it more.

Martin and Nathan set about the work with the array of tools available, chatting about their respective upcoming marathons in Paris and London, with marathon veteran Martin passing on some words of wisdom to newbie Nathan. As the weeds were pulled up the array of Primroses scattered throughout the border were allowed to show their beauty and brighten up the front garden. The lupins, wisteria and roses all showed sign of budding and would be appreciated more after a little tidying of the border.

Mrs C was delighted with the work and sent the goodgymers off with a caramel Rocky after raiding her grandchildrens biscuit tin. Perfect fuel for the 21k Martin headed off to run in preparation for Paris next weekend.
