Well done to the fab runners who gave up some of their weekend to tackle Liverpool's litter problem.

In 2.5 hours, 26 sacks of litter were collected by this small but hard working team. Yes that's 26 sacks of rubbish. In case you're wondering, the main culprits were:

  • Cigarette butts (hey butthead, fags are litter too!)

  • Chocolate bar wrappers

  • Bottles and cans - often only half drunk

  • Dog poo picked up into a black bag, but then left behind as litter (whhhhyyyyyyyy????!)

Although we only covered a small amount of ground, we made a huge difference and hopefully now the streets are cleaner, people will think twice about littering.

Thanks also to Squash Nutrition who gave us a free drink to reward our efforts.
