The group, including two new members, braved what was forecast to be a windy June evening to help move compost at Stepney City Farm, a Goodgym classic.

After a gentle run to the farm, the task saw the group split in two - one group heading off to bag up compost, whilst the remainder moved compost around the farm.

Will took charge with a pitch fork, loading up wheelbarrows to be moved to the composting site, whilst John provided some "advice and encouragement" to Brian and Catherine on their digging abilities. After some interesting attempts and near injuries whilst driving wheelbarrows up a ramp to add compost to the ever growing pile, we made a good dent in the task.

Once our task was completed we head to Mile End Park for some warm up drills before a short session of interval running, involving a sprint around the outside of Mile End running track and what Tom described as a 2 minute sprint (although we are all convinced it was a lot longer) along the canal.

And luckily the weather held out - Good work all!

Annaka
