Myself and 4 other GG Yorkies met for another painting session at Poppleton Community Railway Nursery to finish the big shed doors. It was a bright but blustery morning and the wind blew one of the doors shut as it was being painted, trapping (or so we thought) another volunteer inside. Fortunately Vicky pointed out the side door and I managed to get the big heavy door open from the inside (without knocking Stef and Jenna out of the way!). With all the doors painted we then did a second coat of paint in the places where we’d painted on our previous visit and finished off by painting all the hooks, brackets, hinges and other bits of metal on the doors. We were all done in just over an hour and ran/cycled off in various directions home.

This will improve the access to a dedicated green space for autistic children and young adults . Many struggle to leave the home due to high anxiety. This wild place can give them to space to relax and garden with their families.
