Kash and Sevan arrived at Ealing Soup Kitchen to find that service had already started. Checking their watches, they reassured themselves that they weren't late. Nevertheless, clients were already rifling through the men's and women's clothes to find the most practical or stylish garments.

Madhan and Steph were still there from the early shift, so Kash took Madhan's place on menswear and Sevan took Steph's crowd control role. Steph must have had a rowdy set of clients as he warned Sevan

Watch out. People are pushing their way in

The clients on the clothing side were actual pretty quiet for Sevan. After the initial rush, there was barely any queue after 30 minutes and certainly no pushing and shoving. There was the usual indecisiveness on which dress or jeans to take and the usual (staged?) surprise at only being allowed 2 items of clothing.

The highlights of the shift were one client who said they were interested in joining GoodGym and a second who has the attitude to make a great GoodGym member. He collected his hot meal, picked up some clothes then sat down to eat. When he'd finished the dish of the day, chicken biryani, he litter picked the area outside the Soup Kitchen and tidied the food crates into neat piles.
