After a few hours break from doing good, Ria and I met up at the Roman Road Festival to watch the end of the Wimbledon final before helping clean up. With a couple of sets left to go before we needed to get to work we thought we'd treat ourselves to a Pimm's (thanks Ria!) while we watched the kids throwing around the hay that we would later have to sweep up, and the tennis. As it was raining a little more in E3 than it was in SW19 we watched the last few games under cover and gratefully received any and all offers of freebies (strawberries, lemonade, a savory muffin, sweets) as the crowd began to dwindle. Once the match was over what had started out as drizzle had turned into a proper downpour but there's no such thing as a rain delay at Goodgym and with our numbers bolstered by the arrival of David we got started on our task.

Our first job was to get the hay bails that we had set out in the morning back on pallets so that they could be taken back to the storage area. They were heavy enough when they were dry but add in some rain and they get even heavier. Then came the job of trying to sweep damp hay off the AstroTurf which is not as easy as it sounds and rolling the turf back up. After that David and I thought it would be a good idea to make an already heavy box even heavier by adding a fire extinguisher to it but luckily were saved by Ria who took it off our hands at the halfway point. Dismantling the gazebo was as easy as the assembly had been but carrying the weights that were used to keep it in place were the sandbags that broke my feeble little arms. This mission definitely had it's fair share of heavy lifting and I learnt that everything weighs a lot more when it's wet and you're full up on Pimm's and free strawberries.

What's more it was David's 100th good deed with GoodGym. Absolutely mega! Now there's one title Djokovic doesn't have
