Goodgym went to rake some sand with some heavy breathing Left stones round the roundabout deep and crisp and even...!

Half of the group headed up to Victoria Park to clear some paths around the play area and shifted an impressive amount of sand and gravel. Using rakes, spades and brooms, the walkways were left spotless.

After dumping our tools and without a minute to waste, it was then time for a spot of binterval training. After finding that we'd wheelie bin led ashtray and that the park's running track had been fenced off as part of the Field Day set up, we decided to use the two most respectable receptacles at our disposal to mark out our sprints. After that trashy decision, we ran relays in pairs between the two markers for ten minutes, feeling debris in our hair. Even though we'd litterally dustbin running as hard as we could, Tom decided to rubbish in with a brisk jog back to the Arch Gallery.

Stawberry Fields of Goodness

The other 14 Good Gymer's set off to Strawberry fields on the Hollybush estate in Bethnal Green this Monday.

The residents updated us on the local news while we got a great gardening workout at the community gardens.

The workout included carrying the tools to the garden, digging up weeds, planting and the "five treewells in five minutes" challenge! We even had a workout soundtrack as music drifted down from a nearby house!

After the gardening we set off on the run around Victoria Park, with the more enthusiastic among us doing star jumps and burpees at breaks along the way!

The final stretch of the run was along the Regent's canal and we got to watch the sunset as we ran past the houseboats docked along the canal.

Finally, we returned to the Arch Gallery for stretches and a warm down, having successfully run around 6km.

Clare Ebberson (first time Good Gymer!)
