Another rainy day, but it doesn't stop me from going back to City Harvest. I arrived a bit early to my shift. So I had some tea and a slice of left over double chocolate cake.

I was paired up with Richard, who is super fast at this warehouse job. We had to see the use-by date on items, categorize them by their type and put them in crates, and move them inside the fridge to make them ready for delivery.

It was quite a mix of items that we needed to sort through. Most of them were from M&S. After sorting the items, we labeled them and squeezed them in with another line of items that were due for delivery tomorrow morning.

For the second half, we made crates with lettuce and bell peppers. It was like clockwork. I took out the crates and lined them up with plastic bags. A team of two filled them up with 6 lettuces in each crate. One more person then filled them with bell peppers. I was moving around the crates and lining them up in the pallets. After making two such pallets, Ruby, the warehouse manager asked us to wrap up.
